The Writer’s Story

The person who writes on this page believes herself to be governed by the law of opposites; one one hand, she is just another average young woman trying to find her footing in the world, on the other, she is an exaggeration of sorts with enough curves and angles and sharp joints to excite a carpenter with a planer. Morning light blooming by the inch is her best friend; but it is the darkness she takes to her bosom to talk with. She is an idealist of sorts, a romantic dreamer, living more inside her head than out of it. She populates it with living ghosts and dead lives, and lives a thousand lives with them, writing out a thousand different stories each time. On the other hand, she is practical, down-to-earth, and logical. Highly amenable to reason, which she holds as the absolute truth. Don’t ask her for an ‘opinion’, unless you want the truth and are willing to hear it. She’s extremely talkative, but she’s most comfortable conversing in silence. Her age’s difficult to guess; in the words of a friend, she’s ‘either eight or eighty’. She’s characterized by chaotic thinking, crazy schemes and unswerving commitment to anything she thinks is worth her attention. She derives energy from long, solitary walks, watching bhel puri being made and eating the same, silent drives with her friends, long conversations with trees, music that she chooses to make, people watching and her own silence.

Her stories reflect her; they are her.
